Becky Richardson
Studio Manager, Manduu Cool Springs
Becky grew up in a military family, but has lived in middle Tennessee since she was a child. As a teenager, she found her love for travel and adventure, starting as a summer camp counselor and later a SCUBA instructor. She’s been a raft guide in Costa Rica, a backpacking trip leader in Australia, and a snowboarding instructor in Colorado, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from Metropolitan State University in Denver. She became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist working with the Vail Vets Program, which ultimately led to her role as an adaptive reconditioning coordinator at the Warrior Transition Battalions in Fort Carson, Colorado and Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Combat veterans and other military personnel who were wounded, ill or injured found healing in range of active, adaptive sports. As a trainer, she helped soldiers compete and win at the Warrior and Invictus Games. Becky says Manduu allows her to marry her expertise and training in physiology, physical therapy and adaptive sports training with her passion for helping a broad range of people meet their personal fitness goals.
